Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. I have been missing working so very much. I love my job and really am so excited to be back working with my wonderful clients.
My priority is to keep you (my clients/models/talent etc) as safe as possible, and prior to starting up again I have implemented a number of changes, which I would like to make you aware of. I have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course that is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. I have also completed the Barbicide online hygiene course as well. I have since made a number of changes in the way that I will operate.
Shoots/Events/Jobs
If I/any of Background Beauty’s staff feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the studio/location. This may mean that we have to send another artist in place that is fit and well. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for the safety of everyone on site. And will ensure your job will be completed to schedule.
Equipment
All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.
Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally friendly, single use items during a shoot that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.
Please don’t be surprised or upset if I/our staff use personal protective equipment (PPE). This may include disposable gloves / facemasks / aprons / face shields where appropriate. I feel this is essential for the time being and will be taken very seriously.
During work hours
I understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that I/we wash our hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.
I will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about anything please let me know and I will do what I can to satisfy you.
All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.
